Description
The CHINOOK is a powerful multi-role, twin-engine military helicopter produced continuously since 1961. Its characteristics are its banana-like shape and two propellers rotating in opposite directions, which made it possible to get rid of the vertical rotor. All of its considerable power is used for vertical lifting. The helicopter can travel at speeds of up to 278 km/h. It was created for the transport of soldiers and military equipment. It is a very popular and effective design, associated since the Vietnam War with the U.S. Army. To this day, the number of users of this helicopter around the world remains considerable.

My first Cobi helicopter build and it was a lot of fun! I definitely recommend this set! The size and detail make for a great set with a fun building experience. The rear ramp, side door, and rappel rope are really nice touches! and I do wish it had a display stand but it’s ok. Overall, a really nice set!

Excellent model helo! COBI did it again with a scale kit that resembles a scale model unlike most brick kits that look like toys when you finish building them. Whomever does the research and design at COBI does an excellent job! The little details end up being major pluses when building one of these kits and can make or break a model when finished. I build all of my COBI military sets with the end goal of displaying them, again they are more akin to a scale model than a toy, I usually glue some parts of each model with the knowledge that once they are built they will be going into a lighted display cabinet with the intention of taking them out once in a while for dusting or re-arrangement, COBI again hit it out of the park with this model!
