Experience the dawn of aerial combat with the COBI Nieuport 17 C.1 Biplane. This 1:32 scale model captures the elegance and lethal efficiency of one of the most successful fighter aircraft of the Great War. Known for its superb maneuverability and climb rate, the Nieuport 17 was the mount of choice for many Allied aces.
While the Nieuport 17 earned its fame over the Western Front during the Battle of Verdun and the Somme, its legacy continued well after the 1918 Armistice. This specific model commemorates the aircraft used by the burgeoning Polish Air Force.
Following World War I, these agile biplanes were instrumental during the Polish-Soviet War (1919–1921). Polish pilots utilized the Nieuport 17 to defend their newly regained independence, engaging in vital reconnaissance and dogfights that helped turn the tide during the defense of Warsaw. The distinct “Kościuszko Squadron” markings often adorned these frames, representing a pivotal era in European military aviation.
This set is engineered for both durability and historical accuracy. Unlike traditional models that rely on stickers, this kit features high-quality pad-printed markings that will not scratch or peel over time. The rotating propeller and sleek aerodynamic lines reflect the true spirit of the original “V-strut” sesquiplane design.
