Really good-looking! This P-38 model looks faithful to the real thing and fits in VERY nicely with the other Cobi 1:48 WWII U.S. aircraft! I have mine displayed alongside the 1:48 P-51 and 1:48 Memphis Belle, and the colors and scale all look perfect with each other! This model is also based on the exact aircraft commonly credited with downing admiral Yamamoto, which adds to the display/conversation piece value. All this being said, I have two issues with this model. First, I wasn’t given enough 1×1 square tiles with stud on top only. I was instead given more with studs on both sides, and had to make substitutions with dark grey Lego versions of the part. Not a big deal for me, but it may be for others who don’t have parts to substitute. The second issue is that some areas in the build feel really flimsy, particularly the rear stabilizer. Not huge issues for me, but felt I needed to point them out for others. Overall, still very nice! The prints are especially on-point!
