Key Features:
Historical Significance:
The Tiger I tank, a legendary German heavy tank of World War II, struck fear into its enemies with its formidable armor and devastating weaponry. Production was limited, with only six authentic examples surviving today.
Deployed during the pivotal Battle of Normandy in 1944, this particular Tiger I was captured by British forces. Subsequently, it was recovered by the French Resistance, renamed “Bretagne,” and played a crucial role in the liberation of France.
Later integrated into the French Army under the name “Colmar,” the tank participated in the occupation of Germany before being studied by French engineers. Following its return to France, it was preserved at Satory, near Paris, and eventually joined the collection of the Musée des Blindés.
A remarkable feat of historical restoration is currently underway, aiming to make this iconic Tiger I one of only two in the world capable of dynamic displays, offering a unique glimpse into the power and engineering of this legendary war machine.
