Description
No one’s WWII aircraft collection can be complete without the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt. We are so excited to see the new P-47 roll off Cobi’s production line! This has been such an anticipated set. The P-47 was nicknamed “The Jug” because of its “milk jug” profile when you look at it sideways. This multi-role aircraft was a workhorse of the European theater of the second world war. The Thunderbolt was huge compared to most other fighters of its time, but with its huge 2600 hp Pratt & Whitney R-2800-59B twin-row radial engine it was not to be underestimated in its capabilities. With 8 .50 caliber browning wing-mounted machine guns, this terror of the skies struck fear into German columns. Jug pilots reported that kubelwagens would roll sideways when they were hit during strafing runs.
The Cobi p-47 #5736 executive edition with it’s ground crewman and fuel trailer willl definitely be on the front line of your collection!

This is a very good set overall it has very good detail I love the printing over multiple parts and I love that it brings the iconic p-47 Thunderbolt to life, the reason it’s a four star rating is it has a few parts that are very loose.

Thunderbolt is one of my favorite heavy fighters in WW2. Powerful wing mount eight .50 guns makes it extremely effective against Japanese zero and German ME 109. This Cobi P47 even comes with a cute oil tank and technician. It is also highly historically accurate for its bigger size than all single engine Cobi fighters.
