The VW type 166 Schwimmwagen is an extremely popular German floating ATV. It was manufactured between 1942 and 1944. The amphibious vehicle was designed with a tight, streamlined body and was a four-wheel drive adapted for off-road use and featured a turbine for water propulsion. A total of over 14,000 units of the vehicle were produced. From the set of 200 COBI construction blocks you can build the VW Type 166 Schwimmwagen military floating passenger and ground vehicle. The vehicle is accompanied by a figure of a German Luftwaffe soldier equipped with a Mauser rifle and a fugitive with a print. The set also contains a vehicle name plate. Schwimmwagen is an ideal set for building historical scenes and dioramas recreating any European WWII front. It is also an ideal addition to a COBI Battle Game Strategy session. In the manual there?s a playing card complete with the vehicle statistics. The model from COBI construction blocks will not only be a treasured toy in any child?s collection, but will also inspire interest in history and engineering. Additionally, it will certainly help to develop children’s motor skills and also inspire creativity. For adult fans of building blocks, it?s a beautiful model of the vehicle and perhaps the beginning of the future collection of models from COBI.
